Founded in 2010, the botanical garden is an initiative created for the conservation and proliferation of neotropical fauna and flora. This seven acres garden is composed of an arboretum with hardwood trees with native species such as Ceiba (Ceiba petandra), and Pochote (Bombacopsis quinata). A palmetum includes a variety of palms such as Rubeliana and Brazilian palm. It also has a fruit trees plot, a medicinal garden, and a nursery for orchids. This project emphasizes the importance of tropical trees as agents in the process of condensation and producers of clouds that reflect solar light diminishing global warming.
